I am a certified Permit to Carry Instructor in Minnesota.  I've worked in the Law Enforcement / Security Industry for the past six years.  Most of my time has been spent as a Training Officer, responsible for training new security officers.

After taking several firearms classes, I found them to be repetitious and tedious, and I wanted to bring something more to the table.  I started by taking the skills leaned from the Minnesota Professional Peace Officers Program, at Defensive Edge Training, and applied them to the concealed firearms training classes that I had sat through before.

What I found was that a lot of firearms information was watered down for civilian classes. This bothered me, since every citizen should be able to receive top of the line firearms training.

To solve this, I started Red Lion Defensive Solutions in 2008, to bring the firearms and self defense skills, mindset, and attitude taught to Law Enforcement Officers  to everyone. 

I want your concealed carry classes to be exciting, informative, and safe.  

I hold a bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement from Metropolitan State University.

I'm certified to teach the Minnesota Permit to Carry Course by the Society for the Advancement of Firearms Educators.  I'm also a Certified Instructor for the Monadnock Defensive Tactics System and Expandable Baton Instructor.

I am a First Aid & CPR instructor by the National Safety Council, and I incorporate important first aid knowledge into every class.
